FM For Music | March 28, 2024

At only 23, Noah Elliott shine in indie music, praised for candid songwriting. Their debut EP, I’m Still Breathing, (July 2022) earned acclaim. Now, with Even Still, Noah explore mental health and queer identity.

With its intimate melodies, stripped-down arrangements, and introspective spoken word, indie artist Noah Elliott warmly invites listeners on a rather personal voyage through their sophomore EP.

Even Still is “an intimate exploration of the myriad forms heartbreak can take,” shares Noah Elliott. It transcends the confines of romantic relationships to encompass broader experiences of loss, grief, and absence. The EP captures the disbelief and numbness that often accompany these emotions, creating a safe and inclusive space for listeners to confront their own feelings.“

The lead single, Waiting For Something, reflects on heartbreak and the longing for release. With haunting melodies and poignant lyrics, it showcases Noah’s emotive prowess. Discussing the inspiration behind Waiting For Something, Noah explains, “This song is about the disbelief, the numbness that comes with that. About wanting to break open and letting it all out, but being held back somehow, being stuck. The outro/bridge is meant to build and build, but never quite release the tension.“

The raw authenticity of Waiting for Something and sophomore EP, Even Still, underscores Noah’s growth, both as an artist and as an individual.
