Mariah Carey, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis Delivers New Song “Somewhat Loved”

“The DJ Sessions” is a live streamed/podcast series featuring the hottest electronic music DJs with live mixes and interviews streamed live to a global audience.

American singer & songwriter, Mariah Carey, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis have delivered their new collaboration song, “Somewhat Loved.” Listen to the full song below.

The track is will appear on Jam & Lewis’ debut album Jam & Lewis, Volume One. Other guests on the album include Mary J. Blige, Usher, Boyz II Men, Toni Braxton, and Charlie Wilson. Volume One is out July 9.

Carey singing, “We stood there alone/ In that silent corridor/ Those unspoken words/ Conjure fixation/Capturing me,” over a subtle piano vibe before a heartbeat and finger-snap beat bubbles up.

“When we started Jam & Lewis: Volume 1, we put a wishlist together of all our favourite artists. The chance to reunite with our friend and fellow Songwriters Hall of Fame partner Mariah was wishlist fulfilment at its finest,” Jam and Lewis said in a press statement announcing the Carey collab.

Added the five-time Grammy winner, “Working with Jimmy & Terry through the years has been one of the greatest creative journeys I’ve ever taken. It’s a great honor for me to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime album!”

In the meantime, Carey has worked with Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis on over a dozen songs, including “Can’t Take That Away (Mariah’s Theme),” “Through the Rain,” “Yours,” and “Thank God I Found You.”
