Inspired by a trip to Egypt, where the Dutch artist immersed himself in varied cultures, Future Memories features 13 tracks blending smoothly reggae, deep house, Arab instruments, and Afrobeat.

Ptolemy’s commitment to excellence is evident in his attention to detail, ensuring each track shines as a moment of musical brilliance. Future Memories was originally set for release in September 2023, but after a meticulous refinement he decided to release it now.

Reflecting on the album’s creation, Ptolemy acknowledges the challenges of releasing a cohesive body of work, stating, “Releasing an album required a new skill for me, and accepting that a track is a moment, and not a continuous process. It is never finished in my head, but now the release is planned. Here goes nothing…‘

With over 15 years of musical experience, this album represents a new shift in Ptolemy’s musical path, showcasing his growth as a musician and producer. His transition to electronic music production three years ago marked a significant turning point. Departing from his previous works, he focused on original compositions, resulting in a fresh and innovative sound.

Future Memories offers a mature and introspective exploration of sound, blending oriental instruments, intricate percussions, and meticulously crafted compositions. Don’t miss the chance to embark on this enchanting sonic adventure.
