After a cracking event in 2022, JUICY Beer Festival is back for 2023, and it’s bigger than ever.
Kicking off on Saturday, the 11th of March, Fortitude Valley Music Hall will host two four-hour Saturday sessions that highlight an incredible range of independent brewers.
Thinking ahead, Range Brewing, the team behind JUICY, has prepped the festival to make it super easy for punters. One ticket will get you an exclusive JUICY tasting glass which you can refill an infinite amount of times throughout the session.
If you attended the 2022 event, don’t fret, every single beer available this year is completely different to last year’s, giving you a whole new 90 beers to try.
A beer fest without tunes is a pretty depressing event, so luckily, JUICY has organised a select choice of DJs to soundtrack the sessions, including x-triple j DJ Ebony Boadu (night session only), Meanjin/Brissy-based DJ Sampology and DJ’s from Fortitude Valley’s QUIVR DJ School.
To help line the stomach, the festival has also partnered with an array of local Brisbane dining businesses to give you the ultimate experience, including the finest oysters from Shucks Oyster Bar, the sweet East-Asian delights of Southside, some modern Mexican bites from Baja and the classic hunger tamer of JUICY’s Steak and Frites.
Co-founder of Range Brewing Matt McIver commented on the second year of JUICY, saying, “We gave the beer festival industry a bit of a shake up with JUICY last year, and the resounding response was that the public and the brewers loved it. We think the all-in ticketing model is the future of the modern beer experience in Australia and we are stoked to be bringing another rendition of JUICY back in 2023”.
And co-founder Gerard Martin explains, “After the success of last year, we couldn’t wait to bring back JUICY. The outpouring of positive feedback and good times had by the attendees pushed us to bring the festival forward in the calendar”.
