Country musicians and fans alike fled to the desert this weekend, Friday, April 26 through Sunday, April 27, for the 2024 edition of Stagecoach at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif. The three-day event boasted appearances by headliners Morgan Wallen, Miranda Lambert and Eric Church and many others. Unannounced collaborations highlighted the weekend notes, which brought billed performers together for on-stage sit-ins and other memorable moments.

Friday, April 26, brought forth the emergence of a collaborative motif, with Lana Del Rey joining Paul Cauthen on the Palomino Stage for a cover of “Unchained Melody.” Meanwhile, T. Pain sat in with Jelly Roll during his set on the Mane Stage. Jelly Roll and T. Pain performed their Amazon Music Original live for the first time, which also served as a tribute to the late Toby Keith on “Should’ve Been a Cowboy.”

Stagecoach’s Saturday roster picked up with its first-day theme, offering unbilled joint appearances, with Post Malone bringing out a myriad of special guests for his first-ever country cover set, including Dwight Yoakam, Brad Paisley and Sara Evans. During Diplo’s stage time, he invited Leon Bridges, Shaboozey, Elle King, and HARDY to his Late Night in Palomino set. Willie Nelson and Family also appeared, with their set time arriving before the namesake’s 91st birthday, April 29.

Lambert and Reba’s co-delivery of “Mama’s Broken Heart,” “Fancy,” and set-ender “Gunpowder & Lead” also dotted Saturday’s notes. Also included, Karina Rykman spun a set under DJ Backwoods Barbie; see the musician’s post here for more details. As a follow-up to the first two days of entertainment, the third and final day of musical offerings picked up on Sunday, April 28, with sets from The Beach Boys, Brittany Spencer, The War and Treaty, Katie Pruitt, and other leading artists who cast a spell across the venue, enticing attendees in the splendor of live music.
