Sergio Matina – Fifty Years of DJ Culture, Radio Legacy, and Artistic Passion on the Virtual Sessions 9/11/25

Sergio Matina | September 11, 2025
Shownotes

Summary

In this Virtual Sessions episode, Sergio Matina joins from Milan to share his remarkable journey as a DJ, producer, and radio pioneer. For Sergio, being behind the decks is more than entertainment-it is art. He describes mixing as painting, with tracks as his colors and the crowd as his canvas. His long career has taken him from Italyโ€™s top clubs to radio shows syndicated in 30 countries, including his celebrated format Tendencia Sessions.

Reflecting on his beginnings, Sergio recalls buying his first records in the mid-1980s and the life-changing night in Florence when he first encountered house music through Nicky Siano. Determined to understand this new sound, he searched record shops until he built his collection and became one of the earliest house DJs in Italy. His passion for intimate clubs remains, where the energy exchange between DJ and audience defines the experience, contrasting with the spectacle of festivals.

A passionate critic of phone use in clubs, Sergio shares stories of stopping his sets to demand people put their devices away and focus on dancing. For him, the dance floor is sacred-a hedonistic, tribal, and spiritual space that should be lived, not filmed. He sees clubs as vital cultural spaces where music unites people beyond wealth or status.

Sergio also discusses his label Tendenzia Records and his new project Ootrom, blending house with jazz, soul, and slower BPMs. He emphasizes that promotion, marketing, and gigs remain the lifeblood of a DJโ€™s career, offering guidance to young producers: humility, passion, and self-awareness. Outside music, he prioritizes health, meditation, and connecting with local cultures when touring, always seeking authenticity in food and community.

[Darran]
Hey everyone, welcome back to another episode of the DJ Sessions Presents the Virtual Sessions. I’m your host, Darran, and right now I got Enzo in my lap. But coming in from around the world, we have none other than Sergio Matina today on the show.

Sergio, how’s it going?

[Sergio Matina]
Hi, I’m always good, and for me it’s a pleasure staying in your program. And I say hello to all your audience.

[Darran]
Thank you. You know, we’re doing something a little different here today on the DJ Sessions. We actually have a translator for Sergio in the back end, which is going to be kind of interesting.

So some of his responses may be in Italian. You might hear some English coming from the back end. And a special thank you to your friend who travels abroad and English is his second language.

[Sergio Matina]
And my friend Giuseppe, and he may translate for me what you give to me, the answer of your question. Sorry, but my English is very spaghetti English. That’s okay.

I like spaghetti. I have an English professional. If you speak about professional, yes, but not so much perfect.

[Darran]
So, you know, you’ve had a very long career in the industry. But you’re not just a DJ, you’re a producer, you’re a painter as well.

[Sergio Matina]
Yes, because for me, being a DJ is like being an artist. DJ is like an artist, like a painter, because my color is the tracks, the cloth is the canvas. And when I started to mix, I started to paint my paintings.

Okay. What do I think about my job? My job, firstly, is art.

I’m an artist. And when I come in the disco to play, because for me, playing for the crowd is the amazing, the master of important situation of my job. Yes, I’m a DJ producer.

I’m a remixer. I create my radio show in syndication all around the world, thanks to the Club of Music Radio of Ibiza. But for me, the best in my job is coming in the disco, play for the crowd, take energy and take energy of the crowd.

[Darran]
And speaking of, you have a radio show, is it Tendencia Radio?

[Sergio Matina]
No, it’s Tendencia Sessions. Tendencia Sessions. Tendencia Sessions is the format, and this format comes in the radio syndication around the world.

But there is one exclusive, very important. This exclusive is for Ibiza, from one of the three important radio in Ibiza. It’s the Club of Music Radio, by Christian.

He’s my friend, best friend. And he sends it around the world. He streams it in his radio syndication around the world.

And I think in 30 countries around the world. And in this radio show, I give one hour of my DJ set, and one hour of the guests around the world. I have all the best DJs around the world.

My colleagues around the world. One name, I don’t know. Federico Scavo, The Cube Guys, Storm Bridge, Robby Rivera.

Many, many DJs around the world. It’s been in my radio show.

[Darran]
How long have you been doing that radio show for?

[Sergio Matina]
This format is from 10 years. But I have a long career in Italy, in one of the most very important radio. Because I’m a DJ for 50 years of M2O.

Musica Allo Stato Puro. The best dance music oriented radio in Italy. And I stayed there for 50 years.

I have my radio show. I started with UNC, Underground Music Club. Club Wave.

Stardust Weekend. I created many formats. In this format, I’m not only there.

But with other colleagues. And for 12 years, my name is in Italy. In FM of Italy.

It’s one of the most important.

[Darran]
Having such a long career in the DJ music industry. Do you remember the first record you ever bought?

[Sergio Matina]
What was that record? I remember. My first track I bought in 1985.

It was in 1986. I bought a track of Electrica, Salsa. Sven Watt.

But off. Sven Watt. And house music.

I started to play house music in 1988. When I came to Florence. Because my father had a brother living in Florence.

And I came with my family there. And I came with my cousin, Angela. In a club.

The club is in Cascina. The name is Capitol. And this night, there was Nicky Siano.

The first time Nicky Siano came there in Florence. And my children. I was spinning, I don’t know.

Africa Bambaataa. Spinning Duran Duran. New Home.

Spinning… What were they called? Haha.

But when I came there in these nights. I listened to this music. Boom.

Boom. Boom. Boom.

For me, it’s amazing. What is this? I talk with my cousin.

What is this? Please, Angela. In the past, I don’t speak English.

Now, my English is very cheap. Poor. But in the past, I don’t speak.

And my cousin is speaking. I come with the DJ. What is this music?

This music is house music. What does it mean to me? Translate in Italian.

Music house. When I come back in my region. I come around to find the music house.

Nobody knows this music house. What is this music house? I don’t come crazy.

For six months, I come to crazy. But when I come in Palermo. Because I’m originally from Sicily.

But living in Milan. When I come to Palermo. I find a fuzzine.

A fuzzine. When I find a new open regular store. In Modena.

Disco shop. There, in the small. It’s right.

Importing music from USA. The DJ is from USA. I call.

059301122. I remember. Because I buy many, many, many, many music.

In this store. To Fabietto Cattaneo. Fabio and Daniele Boagno.

I call. Hi, I’m Sergio. I call from Sicily.

I come to crazy. Because from six months. I want to find this music house.

What is this music house? I don’t know. It’s a music.

I listen in Florence. A DJ from USA. And this guy.

Daniele Boagno. You come there. You listen house music.

And him. In the phone. 1988.

He told me. The first time. Can you stop?

Bob Condor’s plans. This music. This music.

I started to play house music. From 37 years.

[Darran]
Do you prefer. Larger scale festivals. Or more intimate nightclubs.

[Sergio Matina]
I play in the festival. I play many times around. But I have 53 years.

And my eradication. My culture. Is in the club.

What I prefer. Small club. With people connected.

Without mobile. Closed. And people dancing.

It’s a small shame. Because all festival. All big club.

All with figatoni. Figatoni. I come.

I take the bottle. For me. It’s shit.

The music is important. The DJ is important. The name is discoteca.

In Italian. The place. When you come to listen the DJ.

When you come to listen the music. And when you do it. A club culture.

This is for me important. One week ago. I come in the festival.

They pay me and I play.

[Darran]
One of the biggest things. The biggest topics. That I’ve seen come up.

Over the last six months. To a year. Is the use of cell phones.

Mobile devices. In clubs. For being a DJ.

And being in clubs. Back in the day. The DJ was up in the corner.

They were hidden away. It was just about dancing. On the dance floor.

They might have theatrics. Or dancers. To add and liven the mood.

To get the crowd moving. And do that. Now the DJ has become center stage.

This happened 25 years ago. Now you have a bunch of people in the crowd. Doing this.

[Sergio Matina]
This is important. I give to you one. Anecdote.

I don’t know. Anecdote. I play for six years.

In one of the most. Disco in Milan. The name is Hollywood.

This is the small club. With a big sound system. A good light system.

In the end. Before the pandemic. This club.

Came to change. Change direction. Change direction.

No very specialist. In house music. But.

Moda. When this guy. Put the mobile.

To see. To take. A situation.

Shoot a video. I blocked the music. I blocked the music.

And I do it. I’m not a good woman. I’m not a beautiful man.

I’m not an actor. I’m not. I don’t know what you think.

I’m a DJ. Please. Shut down this mobile.

Close the hay. And dance. You need to dance.

You need to have good energy. Please. If you don’t do this.

I don’t start to play my music. And the people take down the mobile. I play the music.

I have a good connection with the people. And amazing nights.

[Darran]
You know. In regards. I know there’s a club in Ibiza.

That just said. No cell phones will be allowed on the dance floor.

[Sergio Matina]
I respect.

[Darran]
I was in Berlin last year. And I walked right at the door. Security takes care of me.

And they go. Sticker and sticker.

[Sergio Matina]
Like in Berlin. The first club. Is in Berlin.

Because there. They have a really good club culture. Ibiza now.

Yes. But it’s a shop. Shop business.

Many prepare. Many expensive. For coming in the club.

I have another. Mentality. The price.

Yes. You need to pay. But the correct price.

Not so much expensive. Because music is culture. Music is connection.

Music is art. Yes. You need to pay.

But not so much expensive. 18 euros. For coming to see.

So much expensive. You understand?

[Darran]
Yes. Absolutely.

[Sergio Matina]
I respect.

[Darran]
My team. I was speaking with somebody. About a week ago.

And they said that kids. Going out to nightclubs. They are raised with a cell phone.

In their hand. They don’t know what the culture is like. Without a cell phone in their hand.

And being there to share. And have an experience. When I would go clubbing.

30 years ago. You were on the dance floor. With your friends.

If you needed to go to the bathroom. You would say. I’m going to the bathroom.

I’ll be right back. That’s how you communicated in the club. And you went to the bathroom.

And you met people there. And you had conversations. With people in line.

Waiting for the clubs. Even cell phones back then. Didn’t have cameras.

We talked to everyone.

[Sergio Matina]
Now we lost this. We lost this. Now the people come in the disco.

To show off. Show the money. I take a bottle.

I take a private. I have a big woman. Near to me.

I have the big dick. What? It’s not just the club.

The club is the place. Where you come to dance. To listen to the DJ.

And give your head. The movement. You know.

[Darran]
I wonder. If a nightclub. This would be a funny thing to do.

If a nightclub says. Pay your entry fee. Say it’s $20.

To get in. But we’re going to put a sticker. Over your phone.

And you can’t use your phone here. But if you want to use your phone. And do video in here.

We’re going to charge you $50. And we won’t put stickers on your phone. So you can do that.

And see how many people actually pay for it. I don’t know.

[Sergio Matina]
Women.

[Darran]
You want to do that? And maybe part of that. Portion of that door charge.

Could go to the performing artist. The DJ. That’s playing.

Here’s a ticket for this price. If you want to film and use your phone. Here’s a ticket for this price.

If you don’t. I just read an article about Lane 8. If you’re familiar with Lane 8.

[Sergio Matina]
For me the club is. An important thing. The club is.

Very important for me. Yes. I understand all this new generation.

The young people. They are. Digital native.

And they want to take. The show. Shooting a hole.

But it’s not a real experience. You need. A sensorial experience.

Inside you. It’s a spiritual experience. Not.

Show. Show your experience. To see.

The screen. Many people. Many young people.

Come to the club. They don’t live your experience. Sensorial experience.

But live the screen experience. For me. It’s not good.

[Darran]
Yeah. I think it does take away from it. But it’s going to be interesting to see.

[Sergio Matina]
But it’s the problem of society. It’s not only the club. It’s the problem of society.

All a little. Yeah. Record all of your experience.

But don’t live the experience. I think. When I.

When I sometimes. I talk about this question. With my friends.

I speak every time. The people. Don’t have.

Don’t live the experience. But live. Your digital experience.

Like Avatar. You understand? You have one life.

We need to take your energy. And give your energy to the world. And the best place.

For you. Is possible. Convert this energy.

Is the dance floor. Because the dance floor. Is the place.

Of hedonism. It’s a ritual. You understand?

What I want to talk to you. But sorry. The people from USA.

Around the world. My English is not good.

[Darran]
I understood exactly what you were saying. It’s like a hedonistic. Tribal experience.

[Sergio Matina]
Yes, it’s a tribal experience. It’s a spiritual experience. Eddie Amador.

House music. Insane. It’s a spiritual thing.

Not many people understand. Not many people understand. But it’s a spiritual thing.

We need to live this. Like a spiritual thing. Hedonistic experience.

[Darran]
Switching gears from the nightclub. DJ performance side of things. And moving over to the label side of things.

You release tracks. What’s the latest release that you have out right now? What’s hot for you?

[Sergio Matina]
Now. One month ago. I started my new project.

Sergio Matina aka Ootrom. Ootrom is a translator. In Russian.

Of Matina. I started this new project. It’s a project.

Very different. From what I did in the past. I’m a DJ.

House producer. From my first release. In 1993.

1992. In Ala Bianca Records. A label from Italy.

From Modena. Near Bologna. But now.

I started this new project. Very strange. It’s a slow project.

The BPM is 100. BPM. Inside I have jazz.

I have soul. R&B. I have something to jazz-bond.

I like so much jazz-bond. Like Saga. Like Seri.

I like it so much. I started this new project. But the project of Sergio Matina.

Coming around. And… Avanti.

Come to Avanti. And… In the next…

In the next month. I release my new tracks. In my label.

Tendenzia Records. I create a remix. For one of the most important.

UK label. The name is Phono Sound Records. A remix.

For this label. I finished. Two days ago.

A new track. House music track. I hope to come.

Another time. In one of the most important. Label houses.

Around the world. Maybe Armada. I don’t know.

[Darran]
What’s the most important thing. That a record label. Should be doing for their artists.

Today. You’ve been in the industry. For a very long time.

Seen it go from. Record stores. And vinyl.

To digital distribution. Anyone can get into doing music. Anyone can start into DJing.

There’s so much. That’s thrown out there. As a record label.

What’s the best thing. That they could be doing. For their artists.

[Sergio Matina]
Promotion. I think. You know.

If you produce one track. You take this track. In track source.

In Beatport. After 10 minutes. This track is around the world.

In Pirate World. And all take down. But the artist.

What he wants. The promotion. Of his name.

The name comes up. I do it at gigs. Because it’s very important.

For artists. It’s a gig. It’s the source of money.

The gigs. It’s very important. But because.

We are. Bob Sinclair. If they create a track.

It’s a worldwide. It’s. And they take money.

From gigs. And take money from music. Coca-Cola.

Pepsi-Cola. Many people buy. In track source.

But for a small DJ. Or medium DJ. That have so much.

Representative. Inside the music business. The very important.

Is marketing and promotion. And when I take. A good DJ in my label.

I do this. Because I create. With my trademark.

Big events. And take this guy. This guy in the events.

And for him. It’s the best situation.

[Darran]
What do you think. A good budget would be. To put behind.

Like a starting budget. Of money. To put behind releasing a track.

Should be nowadays. If you really want to make it. Get out there and be successful.

Aside from mastering. Aside from collaborations. And working with people.

If I say I made a track. I have it. It’s perfect.

It’s ready to go. How much should one expect to pay. To get something out there.

[Sergio Matina]
About my experience. When one guy take me a track. I give all packets.

I give mastering. But he don’t need to pay nothing to me. Nothing.

If I believe. If I believe in a track. Don’t pay nothing.

I take him flights. From a pool. I take these tracks around.

Of the best DJ. To see his. Reaction.

They send me. This feedback. This feedback is good.

I come to. Talk with this guy. You want to do it.

To the best. If you want. I’m here.

We stay together. We take something of money. For these tracks.

There is no price. In my opinion. There is no price.

It does not have a price. Specifically. This is about my situation.

My level. If I produce. In another level.

Many tracks. Around the world. Music.

Many levels. I hope. That they.

Do something. Do the same. For this guy.

For me. It is important. If I take these tracks.

I have to have. A risk control. Of gigs.

A feedback of gigs. I do tracks. I want to do gigs.

When I do gigs. They give me money. I pay my life.

My house. My energy. My food.

The important now. You create music. You do a radio show.

You do all what you want. But the final is for doing gigs. All is the create.

For doing a gig. The gigs is important. Playing in clubs.

Is the most important thing. And if you do. The productions, the radio show.

The remixes. Try to play in clubs. Where there is the real gain.

Playing in clubs is the most important. I don’t know if you understand. No.

Playing in the clubs. Is the most important. At the end of the day.

That is what allows you to go on. Because of gigs. And because of income.

[Darran]
Yeah. Absolutely.

[Sergio Matina]
We come back. Promotion and marketing. Because your name comes up.

And your cashier is up. And you take money. Because if you need to take some money.

Of one gig. You need to sell so much tracks. middle take a track source for service.

Middle take a label for service. And the hardest was a take. A little of cake.

You understand? But when you come in the club. The money is for you.

[Darran]
Is there something you would like to share. With up and coming producers. Like a piece of advice.

When it comes to making their career successful. What would that piece of advice be?

[Sergio Matina]
My advice is. Humility. Passion.

And love. Of this work. This is my first advice.

And after. A bunch of ass. You understand?

You need to say. If you. I want my friend to translate.

Everybody of us should be aware of his own limits. Because if you’re not inclined to this job. And you’re not a good producer.

You cannot run marathon. If you’re not able even to run. If you’re good.

Put love, passion and humility. And then create your dream. But before.

You need to understand your limits. If it’s not your job. If you don’t have this in your blood.

It’s useless. That you become a VJ producer. You understand?

[Darran]
I don’t know if our viewers understand. But I understand what you’re saying. I know what you’re saying.

Yes. Producing music. It spends a lot of time.

You’re sitting in a chair. And putting on. I put on 25 pounds.

And I just run 30 pounds almost now. In the last three months. Just sitting in my chair.

In my studio. Doing my work. Where do you find time.

In your free time. To stay fit. What are some of the things that Sergio does.

To stay healthy.

[Sergio Matina]
First of all. I respect so much my body. My soul.

Workout. Many workouts. I eat good.

And when I come. To produce music. In the studio.

Like this. In my house. I stay so much.

I sit down. Sit down. Sit.

But. Alternate. A moment.

A moment when I sit down. A moment when I stand up. I move my body.

Listen. What I create. Dancing.

What I create. And don’t stay so much. Sit down.

Because I’m old. 5 years. And my back.

If I stay so much. Sit down. It hurts.

[Darran]
But.

[Sergio Matina]
The first. Whatever work you do. Every.

Every work you do. The first is respect. Your body.

Because if you stay. In clean. In health.

If you keep your body healthy. If you keep your body healthy. For you.

It’s possible to do it all. If you have a problem. It’s not possible to come around.

Come and do a gig. Come and do a production. A mixer.

A radio show. The first is respect yourself. What you eat.

It’s very important. Because I eat macrobiotic. How do I eat meat?

How do I eat milk? How do I eat latticini? How do I eat coffee?

I have a correct life. I come to meditation. Much spiritual reading.

Like I don’t know. Horseshoe. Because first of all.

It’s my respect. Inside. First.

Outside. Because if you have love inside. This love comes outside.

It gives a smile to all the people. It gives joy to the people. It gives joy to stay near to you.

Yeah. It’s the most important connection. Object.

For creating this connection. With the people. It’s a bridge.

From me and the people.

[Darran]
When you travel. And go play events. Around the world.

Do you get time. To go visit. And immerse yourself.

Into the culture there.

[Sergio Matina]
Yes. When I come. For example.

When I come in my first time. But not only one time. I come five times in Brazil.

My first time in Brazil. When I arrived. This guy.

The name is Tiago. He took me to an international hotel in Paulista. Tiago.

How? I don’t need this. I need to.

Take energy of Brazil. I want to come to favelas. I want to come to Jurassia.

I don’t need international food. Because if I want to eat Italian. I stay in Italian.

The food is good. I come here. What I want to talk to you.

When I come around for my gigs. I want to stay with the culture. When I come to do it.

If I come to Switzerland. I want to stay near the Swiss people. If I come to Germany.

Three months ago. I came to play in Frankfurt. Like Italian people.

But this guy. I told this guy. I want to come.

I want to eat Kraut. Kraut. I want to come.

To see. To come to walk. Near the river.

By the river. Of Frankfurt. I want to see the culture of the German people.

When I come around. For me. It’s important to take a connection.

With the place where I go. Another. Another.

Another thing. I like so much. Do it.

A culture. Of the country. I come in the museum.

I come in the theatre. Exploring. The local culture.

Understand? The most important place. The most important church.

This is for me. It’s one of the most important situations when I come outside of Italy to play. And one month ago.

I came in Bucharest. To do two gigs. For this guy.

Very lovely guy. They give him to me. Good connection.

Good situation. And they take me hotel. International hotel.

Italian food. What do you do? I need to eat Romano.

Romanian. I need to come in the situation of Romanian. Understand?

I watch this. They take this. Three days of beautiful situation.

[Darran]
I’m a big foodie myself. I love food. And I’m planning to be over in Europe a lot more next year.

Where do you come? Starting in Berlin. But then going to Amsterdam again for ADE.

IMS in Ibiza. And then Sonar in Barcelona. But I definitely would love to come to Italy as well.

Be an Italian myself. So I definitely want to come over there and experience the food, the culture.

[Sergio Matina]
If you come to Italy, you have a friend there. You are my guest.

[Darran]
Thank you. I appreciate that. After all of this, you’re making music, you’re playing shows.

What do you do when you’re taking a break from all of this? What does Sergio do in your downtime?

[Sergio Matina]
When I have free time, for me, now I stay in Sicily. This moment I stay in Sicily. For me, the best time is to come to the sea.

Walk to the beach. Do a swim. Swim.

And create a connection with the heart. With meditation. I come there and stay to take a sun inside of me.

The sun comes to me. The vitamin D comes to me. Take a meditation.

Give a connection with the heart. This is the best time that you invest. After, I take a book and Lego.

I read so much. For me, it’s very important, the culture. I read.

I come to find a good food. What I want to do, to talk to you. I come inside the local production of food.

And I create a connection because I want to eat all from zero kilometers. You know? Zero kilometers.

The food at zero kilometers. I don’t take industrial food. For me, sorry, you American.

For me, I don’t talk this. But McDonald’s for me is a possible closer. Understand?

[Darran]
So, new productions, a new label. What’s the label name?

[Sergio Matina]
About Mama Caura. Mama Caura is not only a label but it’s a location. The very most important location in south of Italy because the very best sunset in Europe is there.

The location is amazing. They have a label. This project, Ultron, comes for this label.

[Darran]
And then you said you’ll also be in Ibiza this year, correct?

[Sergio Matina]
Yes, I played in Ibiza many, many, many years ago.

[Darran]
Oh, years ago.

[Sergio Matina]
Many, many years ago, yes. I think my last time was 2014, 2015. 2015, my last time.

I played in one of the very beautiful nights Bellissimo. Bellissimo party in San Antonio. Angels.

The name of the club I don’t remember the name of the club. But from 10 years I don’t come to play in Ibiza. I came there two years ago but as a client.

As a guest.

[Darran]
Oh, gotcha. Where can people find out more information about you and everything you have going on?

[Sergio Matina]
They find more information about me in my official website www.sergiomattina.com They find me more information in my Instagram Sergio Mattina. In my Facebook. I’m a little boomer and I use so much Facebook.

Sergio Mattina DJ. Around in other websites around the world. Club music.

The website where we have a collaboration.

[Darran]
Awesome. Well, thank you so much for coming on the show. I definitely will be looking up.

Will you be going to ADE this year? Amsterdam dance event.

[Sergio Matina]
Ah, okay. In Amsterdam. I came last year.

This year I don’t come because in this same date I have three gigs. Two in Milan, one in Padova. You know, if you come in ADE they don’t pay so much.

You come there for representation. But if I stay here take a more. At the same time, I have three gigs.

Two in Milan, one in Padova. I prefer to stay in Italy this time. I came last year.

I play for 30B Nights in Bulldog. Very good people. Have a good connection.

Good people, house music. Tribal house. And I enjoyed last year.

[Darran]
Yeah. I love my experiences I’ve had at ADE. Last year I didn’t get to go.

I went in 2022 and 2023. But I was at Rave the Planet last year. In Berlin.

And that was an awesome experience. We’re looking at being a lot, like I said earlier in the show, a lot more in Europe next year, in the UK. So we’re super excited to be getting over there.

I will definitely contact you if I’m coming over. Because I’d love to know where the best restaurants are over in Italy when I visit. And some of the nightclubs too.

Don’t get me wrong. I like going out and having fun.

[Sergio Matina]
You ever come in Italy? Where do you come in Italy?

[Darran]
I don’t know yet. I have Berlin. I have Amsterdam.

I have Ibiza. I have Barcelona.

[Sergio Matina]
Because I think you come too crazy for our nation. Have good food. Have a good woman.

Have a good club. Have a good hall. Have a good sea.

Italy… Italy is beautiful because of variety. Italy is beautiful because of variety.

You understand? Italy is beautiful because of variety. Because you find a mountain.

Find a sea. Find a typical language in every region. If you come in, I don’t know, Tuscany or Naples, have a different language.

Have a different… Dialect. No, no.

Dialect. The Italian people is very hot. Give it to you all.

All earth. Be… And when you come, you know, you have a friend in Milan.

If I stay in Milan or in Sicily, if I stay in Sicily, okay?

[Darran]
Well, I’m Sicilian, so I’ll probably go to Sicily or Milan, so there we go. But I don’t speak a word of Italian, so… My English is not very well.

Don’t worry. Stay me to speak for you. Awesome.

Well, Sergio, thank you so much for coming on the show today. Really appreciate it. We’re going to follow up with you.
