‘Beautiful Dreamer’: a blissful synthetic reverie from beatmaker See How

Following the release of his well-received debut Can’t Be Me, Bedfordshire genre-blending beatmaker See How shares his third single, Beautiful Dreamer, out today.

For fans of Fred again.., and Cassius, Beautiful Dreamer is a finely crafted, bliss-filled reverie to escape the mundane with.

Speaking on the creative vision behind the track, See How shared:

“Beautiful Dreamer is like the sound of sunrise, or the pull of the sea. Where ‘Can’t Be Me’ was full of attitude, and ‘Do It’ was full of energy, I wanted ‘Beautiful Dreamer’ to showcase a different side to my sound – something bigger, more cinematic”.

As See How described, it really does pull the listener in like the tide. After a build up for the first minute, the track blooms wide open and we are dropped by the beat into a fantastical, kaleidoscopic soundscape. The emotional intensity sustains from then on, as the song explores breathtaking valleys and euphoric heights. 

Along with the song’s solitary vocal refrain that repeats throughout, the song features heart-tugging, grandiose strings that may bring to mind the Britpop classic Bitter Sweet Symphony, dance-inducing percussion, lofty electronic organ notes and a myriad of other intriguing electronic motifs.

Finally, as the song fades out, the mysteriously compelling melody of Beautiful Dreamer‘s refrain lingers, leaving behind a trail of joyful inspiration in its fantastical wake.
