Childish Gambino Drops First ‘Bando Stone’ Song
Find Out Why Lime Cordiale’s Giving Us the ‘Cold Shoulder’
As expected, Childish Gambino has a new album on the way. Bando Stone & The New World arrives July 19 through RCA Records and serves as the soundtrack to a new film of the same name. The artist also known as Donald Glover today (July 2) released the first single, the surprisingly rock-driven “Lithonia.”
Last weekend, Gambino performed “U Don’t Have To Call” as part of a tribute to Usher during the BET Awards. He also debuted the teaser trailer to the accompanying film.

The album has been billed as Gambino’s final one — something he’s been teasing since 2017. In support of it, Glover will stage an immersive event Saturday (July 6) on Little Island in New York. There, fans will be able to hear Bando Stone in full for the first time.
Glover’s previously announced New World tour begins Aug. 11 at Oklahoma City’s Paycom Center. The tour continues through the rest of 2024 in North America and Europe, and into Australia and New Zealand in 2025. WILLOW and Aamarae will open.
