Louis Vuitton Earbuds Cost More Than Your iPhone

Louis Vuitton has released a new pair of wireless earbuds that cost more than the Apple iPhone 15 Pro.

The luxury fashion house of Louis Vuitton dates back to 1854, originally creating steamer trunks for those wealthy enough to travel for leisure. Through decades of innovation and reinvention, the brand is arguably more popular today than ever. 

The Louis Vuitton Horizon Light Up earphones are built with premium polished steel, sapphire glass, and aluminum. Louis Vuitton branding is engraved all around the stainless steel charging case. Based on the activity of the charging case, the LED ring inside with display a blue-to-violet gradient. Adorning the sides of the earbuds is the signature Louis Vuitton monogram, originally designed to stand out amoungst the other trunk makers the brand competed with. 

These monogram-detailed earbuds are built with 11mm Beryllium drivers, as well as dual omnidirectional digital and analog microphones. They can connect via Bluetooth 5.2, and feature an auto-play and pause function. In addition, the earbuds are IPX5-rated, meaning they offer water resistance (not fully waterproof).

The earbuds feature hybrid noise cancellation. They offer 28 hours of battery life and are able to be fully charged in roughly 40 minutes. The buds are available in red, gold, silver, black, and a blue to purple gradient colorway. All of these features can be yours for the retail price of $1,660. For a point of reference, the new iPhone 15 Pro Max with the highest configuration (6.7 inch Super Retina XDR display, titanium construction, 48 MP pro camera system, and 1 TB of storage) retails at $1,599.
