The Last Dinner Party set for first ever Cardiff show at Sŵn 2023.
The band join a dazzling lineup alongside other additions including Opus Kink, Willie J Healy and Vanity Fairy.

Sŵn is one of our favourite UK city festivals, nestling among the streets of Cardiff for three nights each October. We were thrilled to see a double-bill of Lynks and Jessica Winter announced as headliners among a cluster of the scene’s brightest and best. Their latest lineup announcement squares the already-dazzling array initially promised.
The name on the lips of everyone in the know, The Last Dinner Party, will be making their (first?) trip to Cardiff. They have recently gone from being ‘the hype band who haven’t even released any music’ to ‘the hype band who only have one song out’, but anyone who has attended a show must attest to the great depth of talent on offer among the group. With intelligently written pop lyrics landing among music of ABBA proportions of singalong melodrama, they are a crucial act to watch.
Add to that our own scuzzy favourites Opus Kink, softy heartthrob turned indie rockstar Willie J Healy and the incomparable Vanity Fairy, who recently delighted us at Long Division. The classy songwriting of Bill Ryder-Jones and the unrelenting blast of Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs complete the picture. As these acts join Lynks, Winter, and a host of other great new acts including Heartworms, Ethan P. Flynn and O., the imperative to get one’s ears along to Cardiff for the 20th October grows ever stronger.
