Courtney Marie Andrews announces new album

Courtney Marie Andrews has announced today the release of her new album ‘Loose Future’ which will be out 7th October via Fat Possum, and by way of a tease for the release there’s a new song – ‘Sattelite‘ – taken from the album as the first single.  You can hear that below.  Go on then.  ‘Sattelite’ features a breezy guitar and vocal arrangement which grows into into a dreamy tapestry of synths, layered vocals and reverb-abetted slide guitar.  Nice.  Andrews has said of the song: “I’ve written a lot of love songs, but there’s always a tinge of heartbreak, but ‘Satellite’ is a love song without caveats. I wanted to look forward, and fall in love with the mystery of someone. Let love in, without questioning or instigating how it might hurt me. Sonically, I wanted to go to space. This kind of love isn’t earthbound.”
