They are presenting a first track taken from Shangri-La, ‘Somewhere Else But Here’. Says lead vocalist Sabine Edelsbacher: “‘Somewhere Else But Here’ is about our phantasy, that takes us on a journey into a world we would like be different. Rockshots Records will be releasing Fortis Ventus’ debut album Vertalia on June 3. Combining symphonic and cinematic elements along with soundtrack influences, the Greek trio unveils their first single off the forthcoming record. Entitled ‘My Death is My Devotion’, the song captures the pain and faith behind the sacrifices for the ones we care about from the emotions driven by love and loyalty. “An epic orchestral intro brings us to stormy seas only for the rhythmic triplets to ground us as the catchy melody gets stuck in your head. The vocals sing long notes while the band and orchestra keep a groovy rhythm going. Then it quiets down to a somber voice that is filled with emotion only for it to return even stronger than before.” adds the band. [via Metal Goddesses]
SEVI share new single and video ‘Hate You’ The new single is taken from their upcoming fourth album. This spring starts with some powerful chords from Sofia, Bulgaria. SEVI worked on the track with the world famous producer and songwriter Kane Churko, who’s name stands along with the projects of some rock giants like Five Finger Death Punch, Ozzy Osbourne, Halestorm and more. Last week the fans of SEVI had the chance to hear ‘Hate You’ for the first time and to see the brand new video on a big concert in Sofia. The band also celebrated their 12th birthday. “It was a pleasure to work with SEVI on their single ‘Hate You’. I hope everyone will enjoy the track.“, says Kane in a short video to the fans. For the co-work, the excitement and the results the vocalist Svetlana Bliznakova said: “It was a true honor to work with a producer like Kane Churko. His professional approach brought the track into a new level and defined the small important details that finished the song the way we imagined it to sound. I can’t wait to hear what fans would think” ‘Hate You’ gives a new different sound to the band without losing their individual stile that gathers fans all over the world. The video of ‘Hate You’ presents a story of the tiny border between love and hate and remind us that we never really know who we are competing with. Fast cars, high voltage, power and original vintage style. Full contrast between the speed on the car track and the band playing on an auto morgue. For the video shoot the SEVI trusted the Dark-White vision team who worked on their latest single ‘Dark Knight’. [via Metal Goddesses]
Graveshadow is now streaming their massive new single ‘Soldier Of 34′ off their upcoming record The Uncertain Hour. If you’re a fan of bands like Amaranthe or Nightwish (or even touches of Wintersun here and there), then you’re really going to dig this. “‘Solider of 34’ was the first song completed for the record and the first that [guitarist and vocalist] Aaron Robitsch and I truly collaborated on,” said guitarist William Lloyd Walker. “We wanted to create something that we felt was reflective of the band’s journey up until this point. The mournful melodies cast on top of these raw, aggressive rhythms we felt were the perfect backdrop for a story centered around losing those closest to you. We couldn’t be more proud of the way it turned out, and we feel it really represents all facets of what we want to accomplish this record. This is just the beginning, we can’t wait for the record to come out and share all that we’ve been working on with fans new and old alike.” [via Metal Injection]
