Das Ist Sick
This Friday, June 13, 2025, the new single „Das Ist Sick” by SIRYUZ, Smoky (Die Atzen), B-Tight (AGGRO Berlin), Bo-Derah will be released on Siryuz Music. Smoky (Die Atzen) and Siryuz present their upcoming single called „Das Ist Sick” and at the same time their latest hip-hop project. On the song they are accompanied by German rap legend B-Tight (AGGRO Berlin) and rapper/singer Bo Derah.
With this song, the two artists bring the Bay Area (California) style, “Hyphy”, to Germany for the first time, making it a premiere in the German rap world. The pumping bass and minimalist instrumentation inevitably make you want to turn up the volume and dance.
The English word “sick” in the title is used colloquially when something is cool or crazy in a positive sense. The four artists each tell their own “sick” story on the track. undefined self-ironic song adds a new flavor to German rap. ABOUT SIRYUZ The musician and music producer SIRYUZ grew up in an artistic household, his mother was a film editor and his father a cameraman. SIRYUZ’ interest in art and music in particular grew early on. Already in early childhood he received piano lessons, which accelerated his way towards becoming a musician.
After moving from Romania to Berlin with his family in the early 1990s, Siryuz entered a very formative phase, as it was here that he first came into contact with the music he stands for today: pop, soul, R&B and hip hop. At the beginning of the 2000s, he took his first steps in the music industry. After studying sound engineering, he managed his own projects as well as music labels.
This later led to the founding of his own studio and music label Siryuz Music, where he produces artists from the hip hop/rap spectrum as well as German pop. Due to his parents’ connection to film, Rares Caraivan also has frequent points of contact with the medium of film and television. Among other things, he worked for the shows Deutschland Sucht Den Superstar, Popstars and X Factor. Today, Siryuz focuses heavily on music production. He works for renowned companies such as BMG, Universal Music and Warner Music. At the same time, he also concentrates on his own music (solo projects, YUCCA YUCCA & RARES CARA).
