Lexer celebrates a year of debut album with return to This Never Happened on ‘Amei’

It goes without saying each and every one of the 12 IDs in Lane 8‘s “Summer 2023 Mixtape” have been highly requested, but ID8 rose to the top of that conversation in the time that’s followed. Almost a year to the day from the delivery of Lexer‘s freshman album—The First Last Day—he has returned to This Never Happened to officially reveal that he was the artist behind that track, now properly known as “Amei.”

And Lexer couldn’t have chosen a more fitting track to both make his This Never Happened return and celebrate a year of The First Last Day, with “Amei” following through on its fan-favorite ID status with a three-and-a-half-minute ride of lively yet blissful melodic house. Stream “Amei” below.
