Instagram exchange gives way to Gibson Parker, offrami’s ‘Complicated’

It’s 2021 and Instagram DMs have allowed friends to keep in touch, relationships to form, and in Gibson Parker and offrami‘s case, songs to be completed. Parker and offrami’s first collaboration “Complicated” follows from the former’s initial posting of the idea on the platform. Once offrami responded to the Instagram with ideas about how to further shape the soon-to-be single, he and Parker would connect, and “Complicated” is the end result.

Lebanon-bred Offrami knows how to engineer a hit, and Parker proves to be the perfect partner in that pursuit, their creative collision culminating in a cut that Parker proclaims to be one of his “favorite releases [he] will put out this year.”

Parker, who is fresh off his recent single “Mana,” told Dancing Astronaut,

“Making this track with offrami couldn’t have been more fun. It was cool to bounce ideas off of each other and figure out a way to combine our styles into one. To say I’m happy with the results would be an understatement.”

“Complicated” with offrami is out now via Lilly Era.
