SHINGO NAKAMURA

“Nakamura is known for expansive, consistently anthemic and often cathartic productions that blend classical piano with the genre’s soaring emotional punch.” – Billboard

Tokyo-based Shingo Nakamura has developed an iconic melodic house style that has reached every corner of the music scene. He is one of the marquee artists on Monstercat Silk, one of the largest electronic labels in North America and DJ Mag nominee for “Best Label” in 2022. He has also released on fellow leading electronic imprints Anjunadeep, Armada, and Colorize.

Considered a global leader of the Melodic House and Progressive House genres, Shingo has received official creative, social, and radio support from legends in the space like Grammy-nominated producer BT, Armin van Buuren, Ilan Bluestone, Above & Beyond, Chicane, and Paul Oakenfold, and has received rave reviews in DJ Mag, including several featured “Top 10” columns. His four ‘Best Of Shingo Nakamura’ YouTube compilations have generated more than 10 million views and he has played shows at revered venues such as Tokyo’s WOMB, which draws thousands of fans.

His accolades to date include several #1 most-streamed tracks on SiriusXM Chill, various #1 releases on Beatport’s Progressive House and Trance Release Charts, support on Spotify’s Chill Tracks (3M+ followers) and Apple Music’s Chill House playlists, features from the likes of Billboard, Forbes, Dancing Astronaut, Mixmag Asia, and Beatportal, and guest mixes on two of the world’s leading dance music radio shows & podcasts: Armin van Buuren’s “A State of Trance” and Above & Beyond’s “Group Therapy.”

With over 200k monthly listeners on Spotify, Shingo has cemented himself as one of the world’s leading talents in the melodic and progressive house space. As further proof of his respected artistry across the music industry, Shingo was recently selected as one of just several acclaimed electronic music artists to help launch Spotify’s new ‘DJ Mixes’ global initiative. In addition to consistent releases on Monstercat Silk this year, Shingo looks forward to continuing to perform throughout Japan, as well as upcoming gigs in the USA, Belgium (Tomorrowland), and returning to Amsterdam Dance Event later this year.
