Chicago Offers Free Lollapalooza Passes at Vaccination Sites

EDMTunes | June 14, 2021

Chicago is seeking new innovative ways to motivate residents to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The city is aiming to boost vaccination rates by offering free one-day Lollapalooza passes to people who make an appointment to get the needle.

According to NBC 5, 1,200 passes will be offered to vaxxers on June 26. Only four vaccination sites around the city will be offering free Lollapalooza passes.

Each site will provide guests with an early Lollapalooza experience. Billboard reports, DJs will play songs by the festival’s performers and there will be special giveaways honoring the event.

The different vaccine locations will offer a free pass for a different day of the festival. The sites and days are: Wilbur Wright College (passes for July 29), Richard J. Daley College (passes for July 30), Kennedy King College (passes for July 31), and Malcolm X College (passes for Aug. 1).

Those already vaccinated will also have a chance to win free passes. On June 27, the Chicago Department of Public Health will release a link on their website and social media for a ticket giveaway.

Lollapalooza will be making its return to Grant Park from July 29 – August 1. The festival recently dropped the full 2021 lineup, featuring Foo Fighters, Post Malone, Steve Aoki, Marshmello, Tyler, the Creator, and more.
