Blanke leans into drum ‘n’ bass on first of two ÆON:MODE EPs

Dancing Astronaut | June 27, 2022

When Blanke sat down with Dancing Astronaut in September 2021 to outline his ÆON:MODE project on Deadbeats, he said, “there’s room in people’s libraries for drum ‘n’ bass to live.” Fast forward to June 2022, and the first of three cuts in this category are ready to nestle into listeners’ playlists.

ÆON:ONE is the first of Blanke’s two drum ‘n’ bass EPs set to release this year on Zeds Dead‘s imprint. The three-track EP includes lead single “Breathe,” which notably features his own vocals. “Polaris,” ÆON:ONE‘s second tracklisting, debuted on Australia’s Triple J radio station before the EP released in full on June 25.

Blanke’s two ÆON:MODE EPs will be his second and third of the year, respectively, following his March EP, Land of the Wayferer, released via Ophelia Records. Before the second ÆON:MODE EP hits digital streaming platforms, Blanke will take the alias live, playing in support of Zeds Dead this coming Fourth of July weekend with a special ÆON:MODE set at Red Rocks.
